I was the associate producer on this Al-Jazeera English film, which was directed by my husband Owen Kean and produced by Saad Zuberi.
It follows the family of Zainab Ansari, a seven-year-old who was raped and murdered in the Pakistani city of Kasur in January 2018. Her father Amin Ansari channelled his grief into a fight for systemic change, but as child abuse cases continue to rise, he wonders what justice really means. We worked on this for three years. It got a special mention at the 2022 One World Media Awards.
